  • There is an old Chinese saying called "He Pu Zhu Huan", which means that recovery of a thing which has been lost, or people leave and return, and today we want to tell the story of a Dutch man who returned Chinese cultural relics.

His name is Henk Nieuwenhuys, and he's an art collector from the Netherlands. He was is also the first foreigner to donate a huge number of cultural relics to the Shanghai Museum for free. These relics belong to the period from the Shang Dynasty to the Ming and Qing dynasties, spanning nearly 3,000 years. The reason why this batch of cultural relics spanning thousands of years can return home is closely related to Henk.
